Beijing hosts Iran-China Friendship Association meeting

TEHRAN – The 15th annual meeting of Iran-China Friendship Associations was held in Beijing on Saturday, Tasnim News Agency reported.

The meeting was co-chaired by the head of Iran-China Friendship Association Alaeddin Boroujerdi and Yang Wanming, the president of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC).

Speaking at the meeting, the chairs pointed to the friendly and growing relations between the two countries and expressed their views on issues related to bilateral relations and some of the most important regional and international issues.

Talking to the press after the meeting, Boroujerdi expressed gratitude to the Chinese side for hosting the joint meeting and holding a magnificent international gathering on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the CPAFFC, saying: “The growing trend of good and friendly relations between Iran and China is the product of the mutual will of the leaders of the two countries.”

At the end of this joint meeting, Boroujerdi and Wanming signed a memorandum of understanding for expanding cooperation between Iran and China friendship associations.

The 14th joint meeting of the Annual Iran-China Friendship Associations was held in Tehran last year (2023).

Boroujerdi and First Vice Chairman of the Iran-China Friendship Association Mehdi Nadi attended the international conference on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the CPAFFC establishment which was held on Friday October 11 in the presence of a group of high-ranking officials of the People's Republic of China.

During the visit to China, members of Iran-China Friendship Association delegation also meet with Iranian Ambassador to Beijing Mohsen Bakhtiar at the venue of the Iranian Embassy.

During another trip to Guangzhou, the Iranian delegation meet and held talk with the Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in this city.
